Learn everything you need to know as a lay person to intervene in the prevalent causes of death! This is a combined course of BLS-CPR and bleeding control, with curriculum from the American Heart Association and the American College of Surgeon’s. Cardiac arrest and massive bleeding are two common causes of death that pre-hospital treatment can have a huge difference between life and death.
Come learn from medical providers highly experienced with pre-hospital medicine from EMTs/Paramedics, Physician Assistants and Combat Veterans.
Who It’s for:
This course is designed for anyone that wants to learn evidence-based, life-saving CPR, airway control, wound packing, and proper tourniquet use shown to dramatically increase casualty survival. There are no prerequisites.
Upon completion of this course participants will receive an American Heart Association CPR certification card, pocket mask, and tourniquet.
The only thing you need to bring is something to take notes with. At the beginning of the course each student will have the supplies and equipment needed for the class. If you have your own equipment you would like to work with just let us know and we will be glad to let you use it for the class. No open toe shoes allowed during class. Make sure to bring clothing that is comfortable and you don’t mind doing skills in.
